Music for Little Mozarts with Sue Flogel: Music for Little Mozarts is a 10 week class geared towards children ages 4-6. Every child is a born music-maker! This class will help those skills emerge though activities involving singing, listening, moving, playing, and story-telling. Come join the fun! Limit 4 students per section.

Jazz Piano and Improvisation for Students with Dan Knight: Learn the basics of jazz piano from a Steinway Artist. Course includes improvisation, swing, chord voicing, chart reading and more. Some piano experience required: late beginners, intermediate, and advanced students welcome. Limit 4 students.

Jazz Piano and Improvisation for Teachers with Dan Knight: Piano teachers, learn how to instruct your students in jazz! This class will cover teaching methods and materials, the concept of "swing" -- what it is and how to teach it, jazz scales and modes, chord "voicing," and how to find source materials both for you and your students.

Auditioning 101 with Sue Flogel: Does the idea of auditioning for a school or community production scare you? If so, this class is for you! Sue Flogel, director of 32 shows in the Dubuque area, will share her insights on what makes an audition successful. Singing, reading, dancing, & overall presentation will all be covered in the action-packed 4 week class. Activities are geared toward students currently in grades 5-8. Limit 5 students per section.

Singing the Blues with Sue Flogel: Come explore the world of vocal jazz in a fun summer class. Students will learn about jazz legends, 12-bar blues form, and vocal jazz techniques such as improvisation and scat singing. Participants will write, perform, and record their own jazz creations! Activities are geared toward students currently in grades 4-6. Limit 5 students per section.

Form your own class with two or three friends based on your schedule. A fun and flexible option! No age or experience requirements; similar skill level among students is best. Choose from the following class types, instructors, and length options, and then sign up for any time that is available. Instructor schedules vary.
